Striker -- each day you can go back to a stable and feed your horse to increase speed or stamina or add a slot to inventory. So you need to get to a stable and then back again each day. That may eat into some of your game time depending on where you park and need to go. But there are portal stations that you can access to jump to other areas once you have found them - like fallen earth.

And there are healing skills you can take for use in different situations. You get to access 5 skills but can change them for your situation such as solo or support; pvp or pve. Not quite like a Rift build change or load out but still lets you not gimp a character too much.

Crafting will be specialized due to the various focus you need to do for specific weapons or armor pieces; various racial unlocks; various enhanments or attributes to add. And then the different levels where you have to do it all over again. You can use skill points to increase crafting aptitude and effectiveness and proficiency but that means not using those skill points for your character combat or support skills. So you have to consider tradeoffs and need. You can specialize in more than one but it will delay other advancement.

I haven't been able to just go from mob to mob to mob. Usually 3:1 are the most I can do at a time and not easy. Maybe 50-50 odds. Even 2:1 can be tricky sometimes if you get caught in a mob's special attacks.

Elites can be tough. Even when 1:1 the odds of surviving are maybe 66% for one of same level is what  I have found. You can use potions or food or drink to help increase those odds.

You have to be facing your target for your aoes and for any special attacks. They will activate and miss if you are not ready. You have to be active in your defence. You have to be aware of your environment. You have to keep an eye on your levels of magic and stamina as well as the obvious health bar. You are limited to one accessible sand handy potion at a time during a fight. You don't have a button for health drink and one for stamina and one for magic so you have to plan and prepare for what you will need.

The lore is pretty well written. The visuals are really good! There is a need to get out and find and explore and when you find quests you feel that you are immersed and connected to what is going on. The quests you have do have targets on a compass. When you are close to a quest giver then that target also appears. So that is a bit carebear but makes you try and be efficient and economical. There are plenty of harvesting nodes but pack space is at a premium and your bank is limited as well. So getting to the guild bank often is necessary to stack things then to withdraw and use things immediately for crafting progression.

The character creation is pretty good. Not as expansive as STO but better than SWTOR and FE and Defiance I would say. Plus you have 9 (?) races which give you some individualism.

The restriction of only 4 classes is kind of cramping. Even with 3 sub classes in each there is not a lot of individual uniqueness once you realize that anyone can access any of that class skill set. The armor skills are also equally accessible. There are individual race skills and individual guild skills but everyone can access the guilds. Each of the weapon skills can also be open for everyone. It is how people combine them that gives you an identity -- similar to Defiance in some ways where everyone eventually had all 80 skills. There are however between the 6 weapon skill sets; 3 armor skill sets; 3 guild sets; 4 classes with 3 subsets; and your racial skills --- over 150 skills for combat alone not counting the crafting ones. So plenty of ways to set up a character in any manner you want. And when you can only set 5 at a time on your action bar you then need to really get to know your advantages and situation.

That alone makes it a thinking game and also that you need to know who you are with and what skills they have and what they do.

In PvP this can lead to a wide variety of situational opportunities; risks; and rewards.

A good size guild will likely need to use a variety of variations to take on end game agendas, and be really organized to be optimally effective.

With all the traffic, it is also a very social game and our presence in ESO would be at least as impressive as in Defiance and way more than FE or SWTOR.

I spent most of the time during the weekend PvPing in Goldbrand, and i must say that the PvP might change what i thought of this game previously. I participated in some big 20-30+ people on each side battles, but i can say that the ones i enjoyed the most were the small 10 man team raids we were doing late at nights capturing resources and running scouting missions. We were even able to steal an elder scroll with a team of only 15 people from the hands of the enemy.

We need to get a group together to run that shit as a guild!

PvP is fast, vicious and pretty chaotic. What more can i say? i like it!!!!

For anyone that is not in the guild yet, the guild name is The Dragon Legion (best we could come up with on early release day 1, as we can't use numbers in the clan name), you can find me or anyone in game and everyone has invite powers.

My char name is Eclypse

My account name is @Bealin

You can message me either way I believe, and I will get you in the guild.

Just a little info for the guild, our guild bank is open, everyone can access it, there is no limit to how many times you can take stuff out or put stuff in. I myself have been throwing lots of stuff in there for people, anything I don't use, like food stuff, runes, herbs, and even enchants, also blue/purple weapons/armor that I don't use or am done with, I put in there for others to use. Also people should keep in mind gear with traits that others might need, green/white stuff mainly. But don't throw all of the gear you get in there, as you should be breaking it down for resources if its not needed. Any gear with no traits should be broken down for the xp/resources, same with any gear with Intricate or Ornate traits, as though can not be researched so just blow them away!

We have not yet set up a guild structure, with officers or groups or anything yet, as everyone is still leveling and getting used to the mechanics, once we have more high levels and some consistent grouping, then we get set more of a guild structure and start to plan some guild events.

We can however, have some guild PVP events anytime, as long as your level 10 you can join in, as everyone gets scaled to 50 in PVP, so perhaps we can plan an OPs night for the ESO crew to enjoy some group PVP action.

Anybody knows if there is any way to respec your character?? Ive been playing with some builds that ive seen around the web and noticed that ive made some mistakes in my current build, however i wouldn't like to delete my character at this point. Even though he is only lvl 14.

This article, if still valid, explains how to do it.

If you go into the Deshann zone, there is a city called Mournhold, and in the center of this city is a building with 3 shrines, one of them you can respec your skills, another respecs your ability points. I believe the cost is 100gold per skill, but it will reset them all, so if you have 20 skills, it will cost 2000g. If you need someone to help you get there let me know and I can get you the wayshrine right by the town.

Soooo since you guys are so far behind me, I have focused all 3 weapon/armor professions on my char. I can research 3 things on each, with a greatly reduced time frame. I am level 30+ in each profession, and I still manage to put lots of left over mats in the guild bank.

Woodworking - I have almost all of the bow traits done, I have at least 3 of each staff trait, and 3 shield traits unlocked.

Clothing - I have at least 3 or 4 of every medium armor traits unlocked, once medium is done I will do light armor.

Blacksmithing - I have at least 3 of every weapon traits unlocked, once the weapons are done I will do the armor.

So if you guys need anything crafted, just let me know, I am on all the time. You could even send me in-game mail with crafting requests, and try to supply the materials for what you need. Be sure to keep in mind what crafting style you would like, I can make all of them (except the rare ones like Deadric, Primitive, Ancient Elf, hopefully I find these soon in the higher level areas).

Also if your doing any of those crafting professions, and you need items with traits, if I already have the trait unlocked I can make you an item with it so you can research it. Saves time trying to find it in the wild!

While i dont think ive found an official wiki for ESO, i came across this awesome website that has all kinds of information, guides and news about the game. From the looks of it, they update it pretty regularly so it might be worth to bookmark it just for the sake of it. You can find the website here: http://tamrieljournal.com/

I have found this site to be much more useful for finding skyshards and what not, is this one provides pictures and stuff to also help guide you to them.

Man the Veteran level areas are difficult, even the public dungeon bosses beat the crap out of me haha. I need some of you guys to get to veteran levels already so we can group up and clear content. Gonna need to group quest in Veteran levels! My gear isn't bad either, I have full blue level 50 gear, all enchanted. I tried a veteran dungeon too, everything was veteran level 4 or 5.....it was not easy, we got to like the 3rd boss in The Banished Cells Veteran, and we couldn't beat it, but my group was all Veteran Rank 1....weird part is it says the dungeon is for levels V1-V3....haha.

Anyway, the moral of the story, I need some buddies to group with!

Interesting stuff....I'm not sure if I like the changes to the chests.....most people never even notice the chests, and I get to loot them all myself, its a nice bit of gold to pay for repairs, plus you almost always get soul gems in chests, usually already filled too. Also the xp from opening chests is pretty good too. If they do make it so everyone gets stuff....I wonder how it will work, one person opens it, then the others have to also loot it to get their items....I can't see it auto looting to each person, but who knows. We will see soon enough.
