Still looking forward to this one, should be hella fun I think. Hopefully I can get 3 other people who play around the same times as me for a good 4 man co-op for it.

 

I'm definitely getting this one even though i was a bit disappointed in the fact that it will not be more of an MMO style, but still that's not going to be that big of an issue.

Bad news, the tablet based UAV stuff has been completely tossed and it turns out that "Dark Zones" are just PvP lobbies that pit three teams of three players against one another.

 

Sadly, I'd say the coolest features of the game have been rapidly falling by the wayside.

Indeed. I will still keep an eye on it, but not with quite the same level of enthusiasm.

They got what they needed from their advertising the cool features. Now that people are set on getting it, the truth comes out about the cool features, with only a 10% or so hit to those that are going to get the game. The features would have cost more than the 10% of the customers lost, so their calculated risk on false advertisement paid off.

 

Yet another awesome display of how marketing drives the game industry into the dirt...

So thoughts on the Gold Edition versus Regular Edition? I don't think I can justify paying the extra $50 just for a season pass and 1 in game outfit.....since when is a season pass $50 any way? They are normally $30 tops......

Well I don't like when season passes are ever over 30 or 35 bucks. I won't start the whole debate about why I am ok with them in the first place...

 

I haven't looked at what is all included, but from your description it doesn't sound worth it. I am going to wait to get a season pass on that game until I actually see how it turns out.

Ya the gold edition comes with guaranteed beta access, the season pass, and a national guard outfit......and its $50 more than the regular game price......no way that is basically an entire games worth of extras.

 

Especially since if you pre-order you get beta access that way......seems a bit crazy to me, they need to add a lot more crap to that gold edition, or bring the price down another $30 at least. And just take out the beta access from that edition since it comes with the pre-order bonus.

I just always try to keep the total cost under $90 unless the extras are worth it.

As much as I'd love to say it's worth it, it's not. 

I've played the Alpha on XBONE, and while I STILL can't wait for vanilla to drop... I'm not paying extra. I haven't decided if I'm gonna buy a PC copy. The game just makes sense on console.

I haven't played at all so can't say much on it, but it all depends if they are just making a bad pc port over from the consoles. If they actually spend the time to make a good pc version that feels good with a mouse and keyboard it could be a great game.

I'd like to believe that they would. Tom Clancy titles have always been solid in the past... I don't have any reason to believe this would be any different. That said, having some stick time (no pun intended) on console, the way they have it set up makes more sense than the WASD format.

Well keep in mind, it was the fans that made the PC option possible, remember that huge petition that went around when the game was announced? They better do a good PC version or they are going to have a lot of pissed off customers.

Not so sure how it will turn out on the PC, but having played on the XBone with Lightfoot for the alpha I can say it turned out to be a great game actually a lot better than I was hoping. Not sure if the deluxe edition is worth it or not but I had the extra bucks and I pre ordered it.

That collectors edition is pretty pricey, although it does come with a fancy agent watch and an armband thingy.....so the $160 for that is a little more realistic, although I still think they can drop that down a bit. The watch looks kind of neat, but it could turn out to be a super cheap product.

 

Don't get me wrong I still plan on buying this game for PC, I am just not sure which version of it I want to get, cuz she be pricey!

just bought it for the PC. looks to be interesting where you can play solo but there is multiplayer and can team up.
