  4. The first Global Patch Notes for the upcoming Quality Update 1.6.1 have been released. Besides a small issue with the character import, the PTS should be running fine now and be available for all PC players who own Tom Clancy’s The Division. As always, keep in mind that the changes below are not final and still subject to change throughout the public test phase. If you encounter any bugs or want to share your opinion, you can do and provide feedback in the official PTS forums! In case you haven’t downloaded the client yet and want to learn more about the PTS in general, check out this article. Patch Notes New feature: Loadouts Loadouts offer players the chance to save their equipped Weapons, Gear, Skills and Talents to Loadout slots, allowing for quick swapping of builds to be used for different activities. Players will be able to create and save up to 6 Loadouts per character. Each Loadout can be directly equipped when out of combat. Gameplay Fixed several bugs that could prevent players from being revived by skills or player interaction if they were previously being revived by a support station and this revive was canceled for various reasons. Fixed instances of HVT bosses remaining stuck in their spawn room preventing completion of the contract. Fixed instances where players would be stuck “in combat” with NPCs outside of the mission area after completing a mission. Fixed a bug where Resistance to Status Effects would still be counted as a chance to resist the effect altogether, on top of reducing its duration. The resistance value will now correctly only reduce the duration of a Status Effect. Fixed a bug where a few fire extinguishers would deal high amount of damage to NPCs in some missions. For consistency, fire extinguishers in the entire game will no longer deal any damage and only apply the disorient effect to NPCs. Items Level 34 extended magazines will now roll between 109% and 121% extra magazine size (instead of 109 to 111%). This change is not retroactive. Existing old level 33 extended magazines that had a magazine size bonus above 108% will be reduced to 108%. Nimble will now apply healing over time in 4 ticks over 4 seconds as long as the player stays in the destination cover. Leaving cover will interrupt this effect. The total amount of heal is unchanged. Fixed a bug where some items could not be recalibrated to the maximum stat range that was displayed at the recalibration station. (reported by Bratwurst.Bob) Fixed a bug with Path of the Nomad where the four-piece talent cooldown progress would reset upon death in Last Stand. (reported by Koto2016) Fixed a bug with Tactician’s Authority where the 4 piece bonus wouldn’t reset correctly when starting a back-to-back Last Stand game session. Talents Fixed a bug with Shrapnel where the bleed effect would not correctly apply to nearby enemies when using the 4 pieces Predator Gear Set. Fixed a bug with Triage where the cooldown reduction would not display properly in the UI. (reported by Morph2o) Fixed a bug with Rapid talent where the cooldown reduction would not display correctly in the Skills menu. (reported by AngeliusMefyrx) Fixed a bug with Nimble talent where the player could be revived by the talent if they died during cover to cover movement. Fixed a bug with Fear Tactics where the shock effect would not correctly apply to nearby enemies. Fixed a bug with Wildfire where the burn effect would not correctly apply to nearby enemies. Weapons Burst fire weapons will now have a maximum RPM, making it impossible to reach non-burst rate of fire with specific control modifications. This includes Burst Fire MP5, FAL and 93R. Base Flinch has been significantly reduced on all weapons. This change affects both PvP and PvE (NPCs weapons will cause less Flinch). Skills Seeker Mine – Airburst 20% of the initial explosion damage have been moved to the fire effect damage over time instead. The total amount of damage is unchanged if the fire effect is not cleansed. Stagger effect has been completely removed from this mod. Signature Skills:Fixed a bug where players would sometimes not receive the correct bonus Signature Skill cooldown reduction when killing NPCs or other players. Fixed a bug where throwable skills would become unusable after the player receives a status effects while aiming them. Fixed a bug with Ballistic Shield where the player could end up shooting his own shield when reloading and interacting with the Shield deployed. Fixed instances of incorrect animations when using the Ballistic Shield with the D3-FNC Gear Set and an SMG. Fixed the description of Mobile Cover – Blast Shield that did not clearly indicate that it also applies a blind effect to hostiles. Missions Fixed a bug in Grand Central where the turrets would remain active after completing the mission. (reported by Pardone39) Fixed a bug in Time Square Power Relay where the boss could run outside of the mission area. (reported by Bratwurst.Bob) Fixed a bug in Napalm Production Site Legendary mode where the mission could stop working if players stayed idle for too long. Fixed a bug in Hudson Refugee Camp where doors could remain closed when a turret was used in proximity. Fixed a bug in Napalm Production Site where players would be unable to complete the mission if they fast travel during the “Escape the building” step. Incursions Stolen Signal Fixed a bug where Curveball would stop throwing grenades during the fight. Fixed a bug where a Heavy Riker could move too slow and therefore not give enough time to players to kill him before the timer runs out. Fixed a bug where a Heavy Riker could remain stuck in the spawn location in the Boss room. Fixed a bug where Checkers would not show in specific conditions. Underground The Ammo crate was moved to a new location at the beginning of a new Underground phase to make it easier to access. Fixed a bug in Secure the Intel missions where the last objective “Recover the Report” could be located outside of the map, making the mission impossible to complete. (reported by TheNenah) Fixed a bug where players could be stuck in an unplayable dungeon if they disconnected in the last room of a dungeon. Fixed a bug where the player would face the elevator instead of the stairs when returning to the Terminal from the Operation Center. Survival Fixed a bug that would allow players to group in a Solo Survival session. Fixed several locations in Survival where players could end up stuck. Fixed several instances where the Hunter would not spawn for players standing at specific locations when another player triggered an extraction. Fixed another weird door. Last Stand Added Proficiency Marks to Last Stand: Proficiency Marks are awarded to the player who scores the highest in a particular gameplay role. Each team gets their own list of Proficiency Marks. Multiple Proficiency Marks can be given to the same player. Proficiency Marks are updated in real time throughout the match on the scoreboard. Earning one or more Proficiency Mark will boost the player’s personal score at the end of the Last Stand game. Improvements to Team Management menu: Players can now consistently view members of the Allied group and use the mute/inspect functionality as they would with members of their own group. Signature Skills Passive resource gain from killing NPCs and players will no longer apply in Last Stand as it was working very inconsistently. Resource gain from other sources like Talents will still work. Improvements were made to the Spawn logic to limit the possibility of Spawn camping. Improvements were made to some Fortification areas to improve fortification turrets line of sights. Fixed a bug where players could be stuck in loading when starting back to back Last Stand game sessions. Fixed a bug in Last Stand where players could capture a neutral or enemy point while in dead state. Fixed several instances where players could respawn in unplayable areas when killed in certain locations. Fixed a bug where players would be able to shoot through the tactical locations on some maps. Fixed a bug where the health bar of turret fortifications may not correctly display to the player. Fixed a bug where an incorrect message would display when a player who had not fully completed the Last Stand introduction mission would try to matchmake. Fixed a bug where players were able to matchmake for Last Stand without completing the Last Stand tutorial mission first. Fixed several instances of game crashes during Last Stand gameplay. Fixed a bug where players were able to activate consumables before a Last Stand match began. Fixed a bug where fortification turrets could sometime shoot through specific walls. Fixed a bug where players joining an ongoing Last Stand session would in some cases not correctly see all spawn locations available on the map. Fixed a bug where the Megamap may become unavailable when opened before the match begins. Fixed a bug where the Player Report screen would overlap with the Last Stand end match screen. Fixed a bug where Enemy fortifications would sometimes show in Blue instead of Red in the starting location of the enemy team. Fixed a bug where the Pulse fortification would sometimes not work correctly. Fixed a bug where using Recovery Link in proximity of an enemy who used Recovery Link just before would lead to the skill being unusable after its cooldown. (This bug only occurred in Last Stand) Fixed a bug where the Dark Zone Rank Up visual effect may appear on other players in Last Stand. Fixed a bug where players were able to matchmake into Last Stand when they had contaminated items in their inventory. 5. Today’s main topic in a new episode of State of the Game was tomorrow’s go-live of the Public Test Server for The Division’s upcoming Update 1.6.1, which is still scheduled to be released somewhere in May. The PTS will be accessible for all PC players who own the game and while some of them might be already able to download the client, others have to be a bit more patient until tomorrow morning. As always, live characters will be copied to the test servers and no progress on the PTS will be carried over once the new update gets deployed. We don’t know yet how long this test phase will be, but time will show depending on how stable the build is as well as how much feedback is provided by the community. The detailed patch notes for this update, which includes the highly requested Loadouts feature, will be published somewhere tomorrow when the servers go live. Stay tuned! Moreover, the developers announced another formation of a new Elite Task Force. This time, the workshop will be held at the studio of Ubisoft Reflections (Newcastle, UK). More news about this will come soon, but make sure that you are travel ready and have a valid passport if you are interested in joining. The post The Division SotG: Update 1.6.1. 9. Today’s maintenance fixed an SHD Tech related resource bug in The Division’s Last Stand mode. Besides that and in a new episode of State of the Game, Hamish and Yannick have announced a Spring Celebration Event which is starting tomorrow, as well as unveiled more details about the still for May scheduled Update 1.6.1. Easter Double EventYou can call it however you want, but Spring is here and that’s why the developers would like to celebrate it with us in form of more loot rewards and double Field Proficiency caches this weekend. While The Division’s New York is still covered in snow, the sun has finally returned to some parts of the real world, and we feel that is a great reason to celebrate! Weekend schedule: April 14, 10 AM CEST (9 AM CET), to April 16, 10 AM CEST: Most named enemies, including open world bosses and named NPCs in missions, will drop extra loot! April 16, 10 AM CEST, to April 18, 10 AM CEST: During these days, you will get double caches whenever you fill out your Field Proficiency bar. Premium Vendor Spring SaleIn addition to that, you should pay the in-game Premium Vendor a visit as there is a big spring sale going on where you can save up to 75% on outfits, weapon skins, backpack skins and emotes. The sale ends on April 20th, so check it out now! Update 1.6.1Last but not least we have also got some new details about the upcoming Update 1.6.1, whose release is still planned for May. As Yannick said during the stream, the dev team was able to finish the implementation of Loadouts sooner than expected and will therefore already go live with this next update and not just with the big Update 1.7 somewhere in July/August (not confirmed). Furthermore, today’s episode also revealed a couple of more new changes for 1.6.1. The Last Stand mode, for example, will introduce so-called “Proficiency Marks” (e.g.: “Best Kill/Death ratio”), which will give you extra rewards. In addition, an improved spawn-mechanic should help prevent spawn camping. The Dark Zone, on the other hand, will receive some environmental changes with regard to Manhunts and unfair locations. Also nice to see is that the clearing of Landmarks will now finally give you additional XP, currency and free loot that doesn’t have to be extracted anymore (like it works with Supply Drops in the DZ). With the map changes coming to the Dark Zone, the developers will also tackle environmental problems in general around the game world that could cause collision and cover issues. These are by far not all changes. More information regarding the PC PTS for 1.6.1 will be provided during next week. If you have participated in the last State of the Game survey and are interested in its outcome, you can find the results in today’s SotG Twitch VoD. 13. Today’s State of the Game episode from April 6th was very short, with only 8 minutes probably the shortest one we ever had. The reason for this is more or less obvious – there is nothing really new to talk about yet while the developers are still working on the next Quality of Life Update 1.6.1, which is scheduled to be released in May; and of course the content for Year 2. Continuing to talk about persistent bugs players are currently facing off and making jokes here and there while the community is probably not in the mood for laughing is maybe not the best idea if you are actually considering the state of the game and the responses these episodes recently received. And that’s why Ubisoft Massive has most likely decided to make a survey about the current state of “The Division’s State of the Game”, to gather some feedback from the players what they expect from this stream in the future. We really appreciate the effort and time the developers – especially Hamish and Yannick – are putting into a format like this each week, but for us, it definitely doesn’t mean that episodes have to be streamed every week. If there is nothing to talk about or a shorter and concise stream like the one today, that’s totally fine. On the other side, the community is also not sleeping and still producing content, so showcasing some of this might be also something they could look into – or not (as you like it). That’s where this survey comes into play. It consists of questions starting from how often you are watching episodes, the length of the stream, to whether you prefer weekly streams, or more game focused ones every now and then when there is actually something interesting for the Community Developers to talk about. Go and share your opinion with them here! The post Help to Shape the Future of The Division’s State of the Game appeared first on The Division Zone. View the full article

  19. Here are the changes to be implemented with the March 30th maintenance. Fixed an issue where agents would be credited for getting an explosive kill for an assignment, as long as they didn’t kill the target with physical damage. Fixed an issue in Last Stand where agents received two different marks for killing an agent while in the downed state. The amount of healing from medkits has been slightly increased. Fixed an issue where the Shock Turret damage indicator would last a long time even though the turret wasn’t doing any damage. View the full article
  20. First of all and despite yesterday’s announcement, Massive thankfully decided to extend today’s maintenance downtime for an hour in order to deploy the bugfix for the invisibility glitch, which is now live. In addition, Community Developer Hamish Bode gave us a small preview during the latest State of the Game episode of what we can expect from the next client-side patch, which will primarily focus on improving the player experience. Update 1.6In general, the developers seem to be pretty happy about the outcome of Update 1.6 and Last Stand. The build diversity is higher than ever before, considering all the revamped Exotics, Weapon Gear Sets as well as major changes to the Toughness system around Armor and Resistances. However, there are still things that need to be addressed and the aforementioned patch should help to achieve that. NinjaBike messenger bag anybody? There is a slight chance that it could get buffed in the future, so keep some of them for now and let’s hope for the best. Pre-1.7 DetailsWe are not talking about the next big free Update 1.7 which is scheduled for this summer, but something that will also be released in form of a client patch in the next couple of weeks. None of the following changes is final, but you get the point of what the developers are currently working on. Nimble Holster: The talent will probably be changed into heal over time (4 seconds) instead of granting an instant heal once a cover to cover move is completed. It might be the same amount of health points though that will be regained. Stagger: Will be reduced on all weapons with the next client patch. Airburst Seeker Mine: The total damage output will be redistributed, but stays the same; initial damage will be decreased, damage from the fire effect increased. Last Stand Spawn Camping: New respawn points will be added to prevent spawn camping in the Last Stand mode. Extended Magazines: Level 32 magazines can drop with values higher than their level 34 counterparts. The next patch will normalize these values between those legacy magazines and level 34 variants. New magazines can then drop with 121%. Macros, free scrolling mouse wheels, etc.: Massive will address the issue where players could gain an unfair advantage over others by using macros or devices which can potentially get rid of the limitations of certain weapons, especially those with a burst fire mode. Not every change requires a client update and so the developers are currently also reworking the Medkit system which can then be changed on the server side as part of an upcoming maintenance. No final date for neither Update 1.7 or this pre-patch has been communicated yet. PTS for PC and ConsolesLast but not least, the Public Test Server will come back once the next client bugfix patch is ready to be tested by the community. While only PC players will be able to test this patch, the PTS for the big Update 1.7 will be accessible for players on PC as well as on consoles. More information about this will follow in time. 21. Last Stand, The Division’s latest DLC addition was released around 3 weeks ago, but instead of being able to enjoy the newly introduced objective-based PvP experience in a fair and controlled environment, the majority of players has to fight against cheaters and exploiters who apparently have already gained the upper hand in this game mode and the entire Dark Zone. Especially one bug is driving fair players crazy at the moment, namely the ability to become invisible under certain circumstances. Unfortunately, players have already posted videos about it which makes the whole situation even worse. Although a bugfix for this problem was planned to be rolled out during tomorrow’s maintenance on March 23rd, the latest update says that – besides a regular server maintenance – the fix itself will not be deployed this Thursday. Please note that while we have a fix in preparation for the issue which causes players to become invisible under certain circumstances, we couldn’t deploy it with this maintenance.Ubi-QuB3, Community Representative This means that exploiters can continue to grief other players without having to fear any sanctions by Ubisoft. The aforementioned bug seems to be neither a known issue nor is it listed as an official exploit. Not longer than a year ago Massive has promised more transparency when it comes to cheats and exploits, but nothing happened so far, which is not really understandable at this point. The only way to avoid this farce is currently to avoid the entire PvP mode at all. Instead, it’s probably better to try out the new Legendary Difficulty mode or the new Incursion Stolen Signal. Other than that, good luck out there! The post Server Maintenance – March 23rd: Exploiting is Still a Go appeared first on The Division Zone. View the full article

  24. Operation ISAC is apparently back again. Although it was planned to continue the story around Simon, Esmay and Asher with the release of The Division’s second expansion Survival, nothing really happened since then until last week, where Ubisoft has released two new transmissions – 23 and 24. However, this already seems to be the beginning of its end, with Esmay taking over the transmission after the threat to the node ended. There is one last weekly in-game assignment to complete in order to earn the following rewards down below. All you have to do is to pick up Simon’s Cache which is located next to the entrance to the Terminal in the Base of Operations (in front of the Rewards Claim Vendor). A more or less unspectacular mission to wrap up the Operation ISAC mini-series, so are the rewards for completing this mission: Simon’s Vanity Set (Hat, Jacket, Pants, Scarf, Shirt, Shoes) 3 High-End Division Tech Materials The post Operation ISAC: Transmission 23 & 24; The Beginning of the End? appeared first on The Division Zone.
