Fraps Video cap editing

just a bit confused my fraps file is 1.66gigs looks awesome too at 1920x1200. when i goto edit the edges(start/end) with virtualdubmod and save it, it wants to re encode it also making the 1.66gig file with bits cut out 20gigs? uh help plz.
it wouldn't be a big deal but i just noticed my 500gig isn't at full partition, only 127gigs partitioned on that drive so currently hunting programs to fix that. wish i could get my hands on Paragon HDM



any info you can give me on DV editing would help and if i'm doing something wrong plz tell me.

I use Camtasia Studio to edit whatever I make in Fraps. Camtasia also does a pretty good job of compressing the video to a more manageable size and preserves the image quality quite nicely unlike some programs like Movie Maker.

I'll give it a try, just using Xvid to compress my video files now, don't lose to much quality with that right now.

does your fraps cut off at 4gigs then start a new file?
