I'm Dan. I'm doing my time at Northern Illinois University working for an electrical engineering degree.
Upgrayedd comes from a more complicated background. Born generations before present day, Upgrayedd was a successful businessman and entrepreneur of his time. He enjoyed a justly-earned reputation of cautious -- if not submissive -- respect from friend and foe alike for his unique blend of cunning and quixotic tactics. Upgrayedd's enterprises spanned nations, and he quickly rose to the apex of the business world. With the success came a life of luxury beyond imagination, but also the animosity of darker characters.
At the turn of the 21st century, as humans just began to unlock the first of the Eloh's ancient gifts, an important asset of Upgrayedd's was stolen and taken many years into the future as part of inital time-travel experimentation. Such time-travel "technology" was highly guarded and extremely expensive, but Upgrayedd was determined to get back what belonged to him. Embittered by deceit, he called in all his favors and exhausted most of his wealth for the chance to, himself, be cast into the future.
Upon arrival to the time when his belongings were sent, Upgrayedd found a much different world; one wrought with destruction and pestilence. Unable to go back, he was thrown into a war of uncomprehensible magnitude, forced to leave his wealth and status in another existence while he fought just to exist here.
Before long, his previous life-guiding vendetta seemed nullified. The last thought of his unending grudge passed as he stepped from a dropship onto a planet he'd never heard of, to fight creatures he'd never seen, holding in one hand a weapon which carried more destructive power than he had ever known.
Now, Upgrayedd must combine his blue collar tact with his street fighter constitution to adapt and survive in this new reality.
