Time for another Question of the Week, and this time it's all about guilds. Joker's question is "How is guild management going to work out? What kind of functions are we expected to see in Earthrise?" and we're here to give you the scoop of group management in Earthrise:
In Earthrise players will be able to organize into Guilds - independent organizations following their own military, political and economic agenda. While Guilds are highly encouraged and courted by both Continoma and Noir, too often they rise with their own plans on dominance that slowly shifts from the civilized lands towards the contested grounds where Guilds vie for control over the natural resources of the island. Guilds will be created at places such as Sal Vitas, Noir's secret base, and few others. A number of players will be required for initial registration, and upon registration the soon-to-be Guild Master will have to choose a guild name, initials and icon badge, as well as distribute his first five subordinates within four distinctive ranks, each with customizable rank name that players can proudly carry for everyone to see under their name tag. Each Rank within a Guild will have customizable privileges allowing Guilds to set whatever specific structure they prefer - from totalitarian regime where one Master decides everyone's fate to a democratic gathering where the goods belong to everyone to use as they wish. The system will allow authoritative ranks to manage the guild structure, modify the privileges or add and remove members from different ranks; to deposit and/or withdraw up to three different, independent bank accounts or item warehouse levels of access; to manage the guild store within the integrated global market system; to announce war to another guild or sign a treaty with it; decide what buildings to be built in a guild territory after the subordinate rank members have donated the required building material, or decide when it should be deconstructed or set for self-destruction; and many others. Guilds will have tools at their disposal to ease management such as "message of the day", integrated message board and calendar feature, as well as polling to allow the group to make decisions on their own.
