Well, aren't we just the cat's pajamas these days. Recently, Earthrise community manager Moll sat down with Kav-man and spun it quick for us:

1. Where are you originally from, where are you now, and how did you hook up with MastHead?

I'm from Seattle, although I have lived all over the world due to my upbringing in a military family. Currently though, I am located on the East Coast for a variety of reasons. I was delighted when the opportunity was presented to me to work with Masthead - I was looking for a new project and Earthrise was a perfect fit due to years of community management work on other titles.

2. For a lot of us there was that first big game which just "spoke" to us and transformed us into "gamers." For myself it was the original Half-Life back in 1998. Which game was the first to "speak" to you?

Definitely Ultima Online pushed me straight into gamer territory and I have been going full steam ever since. I used to be one of those types that at least "beta tested" or tried everything coming out MMO-wise on the market, but I got over that phase as the market simply exploded and my tastes became more 'refined'. I gamed a lot before that, but UO represented that singular point of no return.

3. What feature of Earthrise are you most looking forward to?

Beta, then release. I love being part of communities as they grow and change, and I'm very much looking forward to seeing this happen with Earthrise.

4. And what faction, or mini-organization, are you digging the most so far?

Among the information that's been released, the Alpha Sisterhood is my favorite. I'm sure that probably says a lot about my personality right there.

5. Are you playing anything currently and if so, what?

I have been giving a lot of my free time lately over to my Xbox and DS these days, catching up on games I've yet to finish. I did pick up Braid (http://braid-game.com/) not long ago and just got started on that. There are not enough hours in the day sometimes. :D

6. On the 47th website we had a recent poll asking posters what their favorite alcoholic spirit is. Unfortunately vodka beat out tequila. What's yours and what's your cocktail of choice?

I'm rather a rum fan, if we're going into dive into the hard liquor section of the 47th's bar, due to the fun and versatility it has as a mixer. But most of the time I'd prefer a good quality glass of wine.

7. If Moll had the money to buy anything in the world what would she buy and why?

If I could buy just one thing I'd probably buy a scooter, as I have wanted one for quite a while now! They're just so very cool.

8. What kind of music do you listen to and what's/who's your favorite band/artist?

I am picking up new music all the time - there are rarely moments in my day when I'm not listening to anything. (I think that's called sleeping.) A lot of my musical taste veers towards alternative indie bands and artists, electronica/techno, world music. Some groups I like no longer exist (My Scarlet Life) and some are extremely well known (Daft Punk, NiN). I've been going a bit retro lately in my musical selections (Liz Phair, various soundtracks, classical music ala Mozart), although I have no idea how long that's going to last. My friends are always switching me on to new bands and tracks, so I'm always following the 'check out this group' and 'cool music' threads on whatever forums I go to in hopes of finding something new!

Thanks for the interview, Moll!
