Just wondering what people are up to outside of TR. I recently finished Aliens versus Predator 2 which was pretty decent. The predator campaign was a lot of fun though as soon as you get the shoulder mounted plasma cannon it's pretty smooth sailing.

After that I went through Star Wars Republic Commando. Forgot how awesome that game was. Definitely recommend that. It's badass to see the Star Wars universe through something other than a jedi's perspective. I wish they'd make a sequel, "Imperial Commando," or more appropriately "Storm Commando."

That would be sweet.

I'm currently powering through Deus Ex and it's awesome. Been a long time since I've been so immersed into a game. It's just really cool how you have all of these RPG elements and skills to level up and money and there are like fifty ways to accomplish every single objective and stuff. It's like an FPS sandbox basically. Graphics are dated but if you're more of a thinker and not so much a guns blazing, super fast paced type FPS player you'll love it. I'd reckon you could probably go through the entire game not killing a single person.

So what have you been up to?

Damn, AvP2 and Deus Ex? Old school.

I've been playing Mass Effect again and I'm kind of enjoying it. Gave me an idea for a new game. You play a con man with a fake arm cast, a skateboard, and a guitar. You don't know how to skate or play guitar, but you visit local Junior Colleges and entertain women with stories about how badass you are at both, but can't show them due to your "broken arm." I'm thinking of calling it "Mass Pussy."

I've played Deus Ex a lot. And yes, you can go through the whole game and not kill anyone. It involves really good use of the crossbow though...

Too bad Deus Ex 2 was... well lets just say it didn't live up to the original.

I've been playing Guild Wars, Diablo 2, Civ4, Dungeon and Dragons, FF3 for the DS, and I just bought Prof. Layton and the Curious Village.

And just to bring up something Star Wars related... I was replaying Tie Fighter last year. Best Star Wars game ever made imo. X-Wing vs. Tie Fighter improved upon the graphics and system a little, but flying around in your Tie Fighter, getting hit from a single blast and having your radar knocked out, so your flying blind knowing that if something else hits you your a goner. That was amazing.

I've actually been messing with EvE online again. Now sure why. I guess the complexity of the game facinates me.

I miss the old Star Wars flight sims.

Alliance wasn't that bad.

You are right, alliance had pretty much the same gameplay, only with even more starships and fighters, and was a hoot to play with other people. The only problem is that you aren't a member of the imperial navy and you only got to fly tie's in the simulator.

Hells yeah. I love the GTA series. Liked Vice City the most. Not so much San Andreas (probably because I'm not black).

I was kinda hoping that Rockstar would go the way of Saint's Row and make the main character completely customizable while still maintaining an immersive 9not sure that's a word) feel to the game.

Hopefully, if they make a GTA V, they'll go with that option. If not, there's always Saint's Row 2, and some GTA styled MMO coming out called APB. I saw a video of the character creation screen, and I gotta say, "Holy fuck." Looks good.

Yeah, I've followed APB a bit. It definitely looks interesting. I kind of wanted to give that, The Agency, and Huxley a shot when they come out.
