I know a lot of people are always looking for some very specific program that fills some role so for all of those really awesome but perhaps not well known progs I've created this thread. They are all freeware.

I have four to submit:

Daemon Tools (http://www.daemon-tools.cc/dtcc/announcements.php)
This program is crazy awesome. Basically, if you download a lot of stuff like I do and it comes in iso, bin, cue, or some other disk image format you're usually stuck burning it onto a disk and then running the disk. No more! Daemon Tools allows you to "mount" disk image files onto a virtual drive. Once the image is mounted a new drive will appear and whatever is in the image will be loaded up and ready to go for ya. Super handy.

uTorrent (http://utorrent.com/)
A very lite bit torrent downloading program. It has a tiny memory footprint and is loaded with tons of features. Best of all no advertising.

Spybot S&D (http://www.safer-networking.org/en/index.html)
Great anti spyware program and the nice thing about is that it has a TeaTimer which blocks other programs from messing with your registry. It also has a nice startup programs feature which lets one select and deselect which programs launch at Windows startup. Very hand.

Avast Anti-Virus (http://www.avast.com/)
I've been using it for a long time and it's never failed me. Never had a major virus and whenever I was doing something naughty it always saved my ass right away. What's nice is that monitors web connections and if something bad pops through the pipe it'll block that page and break the connection immediately. The footprint is pretty good too.

Online armor - Free firewall that will not nag you to death. Free

CCleaner - makes cleaning out crap on your computer. Free

Notepad++ vastly superior to notepad for editing uses. Free

Game Jackal - will allow running gamew with out cd/dvd in drive. Cost

Thats it for now. Have to go to muster.

Um those sound pretty good but it would help if maybe you could post a link where you found them so our readers don't have to search the web for the right locations.

Anyone have any good DVD burning software? I mean like programs that will render an AVI or MPEG on to a DVD that can be read in an actual player (not just a DVD with files sitting on it).

I was using Nero 8's NeroVision which was nice but when I tried to burn some movies today I got this awesome message from Nero that my serial key was a priated serial key (which it was) and now I'm locked out of the program (which sucks).

Currently downloading a cracked versions of Nero 9 that won't let the program communicate over the internet but I need to burn like four movies before 0500 CST tomorrow (I've actually got a date at that time, weird huh?) and they take two or three hours just to render so I'm running out of time.

Kav with a date? What the fuck is the world coming to. Anyway, I'll see if I can ask my friends about it tomorrow morning.

I'm normally a random hook up guy but I couldn't say no to a super leggy 5'9" redhead with Ds. Oh, and she's go to the U of M law school too. By the way, I have a huge redhead fetish and 5'9" is my perfect height for a woman. And she's a wine drinker too, hooray!

Yeah, she's literally my perfect fantasy. I can't pass this one up. Plus it'll give me a good reason to dump my ice-bitch of an ex-girlfriend permanently. Or so I hope.
