Due to a nasty bug which has recently appeared, I've been inadvertently kicked from the 47th and am stuck in the 7-day between-clans waiting period. I've reported this to the devs, but I don't know how long it will take to fix this.

Whatever you do, do not kick an alt from a clan while you are logged on. Your main will get the boot as well. Have someone else remove your alt while you are completely logged out.

Happened to me on Saturday. Just clone your original again and invite that one, delete the kicked clone. Do a ToO or hybrid mission to get a quick clone credit if you don't have one.

I'll need two clone credits to retain the name of the original. I'd rather pester the devs to fix this bug and/or spot me two clone credits rather than spend a lot of time in-game grinding out clone credits to fix it.

It's been 39 hours since my first bug report and GM petition, and all I've gotten is a cut-and-paste FAQ on clan mechanics (gee, thanks) and a promise that "senior staff" would review my petition and get back to me soon. Since then, I've heard nothing. I bumped my support ticket last night, but still have got a big fat wall of silence from support.

I've PMed Dev Mana on PlanetTR. Hopefully he can help, or at least give me a little information on what the hell is going on.

*sigh*

Dev Mana was able to fix my shit in about 5 minutes' time. Rock on, Dev Mana. Apparently my account's clan flags had gotten all fbxed up when the bug hit, so he had to manually wipe the clan info from every toon on the account.

Later tonight I'll harass someone to get Nova (spy), Geneva (medic), and Jamie (commando) re-invited.

LESSON LEARNED: NCSoft's official tech support system sucks a big one, and is useless to assist with genuine bugs. They are there only to send cut&paste replies and to kick things up to "senior staff" who will ignore you. If you need help, find a dev on a forum and PM them directly.

My first few bug reports we either answered or fixed in a short time (the first one was just me being confused about a mission). However my last one, for a mission in Plains, they never got back to me, so yeah, support must have gone downhill lately.

To me, it seems like the Tier 1 GM support staff appear to be outsourced while their Tier 2 and Senior level support staff are stateside. It's just the way the conversation flows when talking to them in game. It's awkward English, doesn't flow "right" when you read their text. When I was still at SOE, I used to train the India GMs before we put them on a team shift and their conversational English is the same as the Tier 1 GM staff I've dealth with in TR.

Hehe, yeah. Worked there for 3 years as a SWG GM (TOS Enforcement) and then as a trainer for new GM hires and the India outsourced GMs. Then one day, I came into the SWG pit and noticed that I and one other girl were the only stateside GMs left for SWG, all the others were canned that morning. I went to my Lead and requested to be taken off SWG and moved to FFXI as a GM and trainer. Few months later, Square Enix got pissed off at SOE and decided to pull FFXI from SOE's support and took it in house. SE offered me a fantastic deal to leave SOE and work for them, which I took. Two years later, I'm still at SE as a senior project manager for their online operations department.
