Sounds really cool to me.

The ability to attack/defend a CP sounds like a blast. Can you say "Capture the flag?"

I just hope they don't break out the Nerf bat for "Ability Balancing". What makes good squad based PVP, IMHO, is not each class being equal but having strengths with different classes that play together. This coupled with cloning which allows everyone to eventually have every class available means you'll never be wihout that essential Nuker, Healer or Buffer that you need in PvP.

Mail and Alliances? That will be nice.

I just hope they make the rewards large enough to motivate the player base.

why is it I can already hear the nerf bat warming up? Anytime they try balance classes we end up with nerfs and next patch its more nerfs to rebalance the classes that didnt get nerfed the patch before. PVP is based on startegy and intelligence just as much as actual class ability in any MMO. Play style also makes a huge difference. To balance classes for PVP is a bad concept in that your not truely balancing PVP your just balancing newbs with an IQ under 70 who whined that someone else was stronger. I am kind of excited about the cp's and seeing that put into effect though.

Not that I anticipate anything in this feature to be even remotely close to hitting any type of testing within the next six months I will address the "multiple clans" thing quickly.

My rule for the 47th will be that we are your only clan. No exceptions. Obviously mules and temporary alts don't need to be guilded but don't expect any 47th members to be splitting time between here and another unit. I simply won't allow that.

I simply won't allow that.

just a note... this makes you sound like an aging housewife.

Seriously. Why do we have to care what someone does when they aren't online and playing in the 47th? If you are so serious about making sure you know who is attending make a sign up sheet and if people don't confirm they they don't come and do the cool shit with us. This is a game, not a job. And until they put in something in the game that would require certain people to be there (such as raids and other things that don't scale well the number of players involved, and so help me god if they do...) It shouldn't bloody matter. Whats the difference between someone who can only play two days a week and someone that plays two days a week in one clan and two days a week in another?

My SWG guild had the policy of either in or out, no in betweens. It worked very, very well. Well enough that the it's been the largest and most active guild on it's server for approaching four years now. And you have to consider it was an Imperial guild and Imperials are outnumbered two to one in that game.

Ain't no democracy on this policy. I've experienced it. I know it works. Dingo (Akechi) can verify.

Every single serious or semi-serious guild I have been in or run has had this policy. I honestly think that you are an ass if you are in two guilds. Being in two guilds is like having two wifes, and you aren't a Mormon.

Fair enough, I don't understand why anyone would want to be in two "real" guilds anyway. I guess, I just don't see that as a serious (you know, raiding and the like) guild, possibly because there is nothing like that to do in TR. I suppose my definition of serious might be a bit different from yours though.

Edit: I am not implying that if cool stuff like hardcore PVP or whatever the like is introduced into TR that we won't do it, just that right now, aside from doing our events, leveling, and farming there is a lack of things to do.

Yeah, I gotta back that up on the 1 clan only thing. Hell, I feel guilty enough if i'm playing some other game on my free time. Though I dont always get a whole lot of that time, if i'm playing TR, i'm with the 47th, period.

....'The hell else is out there thats as good, anyway?
