Patch Note Preview for 1.5

PvP Safe Regions have been added to persistent maps. When a player dies due to PvP damage they can select to respawn at a PvP Safe Region. Doing so will allow them to respawn with a PvP immunity buff which negates all damage to the player from PvP for a short time. This buff can also be removed by leaving the Safe Region, usually defined by landmarks and or walls. The Safe Regions are displayed with a distinctive icon on the map, mini map, and hospital selection screen. Additionally the player receives a status update when they are immune to PvP damage and when the immunity expires.
Special gift items (like Halloween Masks and special hats) may now be placed into a player's footlocker.
Known Issue - Armor Penetration
We've identified an issue with armor penetration working incorrectly when using weapons such as the Injector Guns. We're currently working on a resolution for this issue.

Player Event: Mid-week Massacre

Mid-week Massacre was brought together this Wednesday as the first squad on squad dueling tournament. It was the first in what will be a weekly event. With the exception of some minor problems the event went fairly well considering it was the first time. First off I would like to thank my clan the Medellin Cartel as well as PlanetTR.com along the whole BTLF Podcast crew and guys from clan Invictus, GM_ROFL and Dev_Mana. All of you guys provided the support necessary to make this happen. We had all 6 of the participating squads put together pretty much an hour before the event. For next weeks event, we hope to have teams signed up prior to the event itself. After we got the ball rolling, it ran fairly smooth. Above all, we have observed the event and rules carefully and will be making adjustments to the ruleset accordingly for next weeks event.
After facing Holydragon's team in the finals, Arrellios' team advanced to become to champions of this Wednesday's event. The winning team was rewarded 2 million credits as well as a set of white armor dye from Dev_Mana to each of the players on the team.
I'd like to thank everyone who showed up and I hope to see everyone on the battlefield next week Wednesday.
-Damian Amaru
